Patrick Henry Caucus urge special session of Utah congress

Recently you may have seen the situation involving the Chrylser corporation around the country. By federal mandate several chrysler dealers have had their businesses taken from them; some who have owned a family car business for 60+ years! These dealerships franchise agreements WILL be given to someone new. In other words, by federal mandate, auto dealers are having their business taken from them and given to someone new!

Utah has not been immune, and several dealers here are losing their dealerships.
We have a chance to do something about it. IF Governor Huntsman will call the legislature into special session next Wednesday, when the legislature is on capitol hill, a bill can be run which will protect these business owners.

The legislature proposes to pass a bill which would give the disenfranchised dealer the “first right of refusal” when Chrysler tries to issue a new franchise agreement in their area.

Please contact Governor Huntsman’s office and tell him to call the legislature into special session to fix this grave injustice.

Call Lt. Governor Gary Herbert and ask him to do all he can to influence a special session!

Huntsman’s Office:

801-538-1000
800-705-2464

Herberts office:
800-995-VOTE

We are certain that similar things are happening in the other states where our group members reside as well. We urge you all to contact your state officials and ask them to take a stand FOR states right’s on this issue and not allow the Federal Government to usurp such an incredible amount of power.
